So yes, I've realized that lately I've been a horribly bad blogger. Bad me, I know. So now that we got my little smack on the hand over and done with, let's move on to all the (maybe?) interesting things I've been up to since my last post. Well, Kya has survived and is doing quite well! I took her to the vets and I gave her some meds and she overcame whatever was wrong with her. I take her out of her cage and spend time with her more now that she's on her own. I think she's been enjoying the spoiled life though. I still do hope that I'll be able to get her another cagemate soon, but we'll see what comes our way for now.
I enrolled both the boys in baseball, well 1 is in t-ball, but still. They have practice 2 days a week each, and games 2 days a week each, so you can imagine how much time that leaves me. I pretty much live at the park lately. The best is that their always wanting more money, and having us do more fundraisers for something. And I have to do so much time working the snack shack or pay $10 for each missed time. The joys of being a parent! They seem to be enjoying it though, so hopefully we've added another sport to our house other than their beloved soccer. Here's to hoping anyway!
Then I've been trying to keep my head above water with my classes. It's really my absolute last chance at college, and I'm determined to succeed. It was a pain in my keester to go through the petition process to get financial aid to even be able to go back, and I still have to deal with repeating some classes to get a better grade. None of that matters though, because I'm starting fresh again, and I'm already halfway through the semeter and holding steady in my classes. Midterms were hard for me, and I'm pretty sure they dropped my grades substantially. I do hope I pass at least with B's or C's. I'll be happy with that.
I've also been keeping steady with my sewing. I did an amazing summer wardrobe for the Ollie, and I'm planning to start on some summer shorts for the boys in a few weeks. The boys don't need summer clothes just yet, since they have to wear their uniforms to school and that won't finish until June. So I'm still good in that department. I also got to do their Easter outfits, which I like to think came out amazingly! I made the boys some bowling shirts, and the girl a beautiful bubble dress with a big bow sash. And I had the honor of making my 2 nieces Easter dresses as well. So 5 little outfits for Easter were all made last week.
This week I've been out of commission. I started feeling sick Monday morning, and slept most of the day. I woke up with a burning fever, that I fought for 2 1/2 days. I gave in and agreed to be taken to the hospital on the 3rd day. Turned out that it was a good thing I went in, because I have strep throat. So they gave me a bag of IV, a shot of some steroids, and some penicillan to take at home. At least my fever is gone now, but its still painful to swallow. I feel upset at myself for being sick the only week me and my kids are on spring break and had the time to go places. I feel like I cheated them out of thier vacation. But there's always summer!
I didn't imagine I had so much to catch up on, but then again I talk a lot, so this makes sense lol. Well till next time, which hopefully will be sooner than this last time. I'll try to keep up with this thing from now on, but don't hold me to it.

Kya
So today I had to take my fabulous Kya to the vet. The last 2 nights she hasn't been herself, and I feared the worst. It hasn't been long since I've lost my precious Kiyoshi, and I thought I was going to lose her too. Our vet is wonderful though, and after looking her over decided it probably was because she was lonely, having always had Kiyoshi. So instead of recommending costly tests, he sent us home with some antibiotics (just in case), and the hopes that it's only from lonesomeness or a small bug she caught. Hopefully she'll be her vibrant crazy self soon, and though Ray doesn't know it yet (tee hee) I've already started looking around for another friend for her. So I will keep everyone updated, and hopefully have good news soon!

Study Study!
So, school started for me and I'm in my second week. I'm super excited, and super overwhelmed. I'm taking 15 units, and I think I jumped in head first into the pool of knowledge. There's so much homework! I've been staying up super late to do my homework, because it's impossible to get it done in the day with the kids, and get up early to take the kids to school. I've been going off 3-5 hours of sleep a night. Tonight, I never went to bed. I'm not feeling too bad though, and maybe it will help me get back to normal sleeping hours.
Besides doing homework and studying, I've been spring cleaning! I've systematically taken each room apart (where it looked like it's never been cleaned), and then put it all back. I had couches in the middle of the living room, cushions all over, and paper! You wouldn't believe the amount of paper I found under the couch. And not just random papers, no. Coloring pages! I'm guessing one of the boys was stashing his artwork under the couches for safe keeping. And the amount of pacifiers I found in the couch cushions would amaze you lol. The best though, is when I got to cleaning up the kids play area and I had seperated all the toys into piles. Piles like what were keeping, donating, and trashing. The keep piles were seperated even further into big/outside toys, inside toys, babies, dress up, kitchen toys, etc. So, while I was working on the piles, the kids had to "help" by spreading them even further around. So now I'm going to have to have Ray move the fridge so I can retrieve all the treasures that got pushed under it (cause you know my kids took the bottom grill thingy off and broke it, so we have a space). Today I'm going to work on my bathroom, and then the bedroom. I have big plans for the bedroom! I plan on taking down the crib and setting up Olivia's toddler bed :( Then I have to redo the furniture in there to keep her from climbing the bunk beds.
Oh, and Olivia used the potty! YAY!!!! So I leave you tonight/morning singing the potty song.
"Yes I'm going to the potty potty."

Love Day!
Happy Valentines Day! There's so much to love on a day like this, and it's not the commercial store bought gifts, sparkly new diamond something, or indulgent chocolate treats that your sweety will give you. It's the fact that the sun is shining, it's a bright new day, and I have 3 of the most fantastical people in the world to spend it with.... my babies!
I've never had a great valentines day, since I've always had crappy (read: immature) boyfriends growing up. Because of that I never made a big deal about it (or any other holiday) once I got with Big Ray. So we've never really celebrated, and it's fine with me. Just thought some people might like an explanation of why it's another day.
This year however, I find myself loving the idea of Vday. I got to sleep in till 11, Ollie is down for a nap at the moment, the boys are watching cartoons, and I'm getting some much needed me time. In a bit when my priss wakes up, we'll have a late lunch and watch some movies together and snuggle under a blanket. Perfect! Then we'll all make dinner together (the kids favorite), pizza muffins! Can it really get any better than this?

Date Night
Last night Ray and I (alone) went out to dinner at Chili's and then to see the Underworld. It was great night even though I kept bringing up the kids lol. We haven't been out like this in years, so it was well deserved. We left the kids with my mom, and they went to dinner at hometown buffet with my aunt and cousin, and had a great time. It was a great dinner, and I even got a cape cod with our appetizer. I had a huge steak with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli, and just talking about it is making me hungry all over again. The movie was awesome and makes me want to sit here all day and watch the previous underworld movies.
I'm on a mission today to finish some dresses and start on Ollie's summer wardrobe. I know for sure that I will get the dresses done, and the matching hair bows but the summer clothes are a work in progress.

Kaiser Day
So yesterday I kept the boys home from school, they sounded horrible! I feel so much better and so does Ollie, but my poor boys. So since we were fit ins we had to sit around and wait for them to fit us in. We were there from 11:30 in the morning till 4:30 in the afternoon, and I think it's fair to say that I hope I don't see the inside of Kaiser for a while.
Turns out Raymond has a bad ear infection, a lot of chest congestion and his horrible rattling cough. He got antibiotics for his ear, and some claritin to loosen his chest. Bobby is fine she said, other than his asthma acting up. But he got a refill for his inhalers for home, another face mask, and a spare inhaler to keep at school.
The best part about waiting all day to see a Dr is when they criticize you and make you feel like a bad parent, yeah that's the best. She basically told me that I have never taken Raymond for a physical since we've had Kaiser (we got it in 2006), and that I was wrong for that. As nice I could, I told her that I had every year since 2006 and even before. Of course she had to try to prove me wrong, because she looked over his records in her office, so she turns the computer screen to me to show me and finds the appointments for his physicals. But yeah, where is his appointment for 2009? Then I'm bad for not bringing him in more than his physicals, because the medication he's on needs to be monitered for weight loss. Again, I politely told her that his psychiatrist weighs him every time she dispenses him his medication for that very reason. So then her attention goes to Bobby. Bobby is missing his physical for school. Um, no I brought him for his physical a month or two before September. And he's missing shots. Okay that part I admit to, because well I don't feel he needs all of them at once. So yeah I refuse to let them poke him more than once at each appointment which has set him back but he still gets his shots, and he's only missing 1. Then we go to Olivia who's not even seeing her today (er yesterday). Why isn't Olivia up to date with her shots? Because I choose not to, my choice as her parent. She doesn't need a shot for chicken pox, I had chicken pox and I'm fine. I choose which shots I want her to have, and as a parent it's my right. But yeah I'm a bad mom.
Needless to say, I'm switching them Dr's!

Ugh
The last few days I've been sitting. And laying, and rolling, and tossing. What I'm trying to say is that I'm sick, and I haven't had a good nights sleep in days! I caught a nasty cold from Ollie, and neither of us can breathe through the night which is not good. She's been waking up almost every hour during the night, so I comfort her for about 20 minutes until she falls back asleep. I crawl into bed and toss and turn for another 20 minutes before falling asleep, which leaves me a grand total of 20 minutes to sleep before she wakes up again.
I really hope I get over this fast, because I have so much to do and I have no energy or time (between wiping mine and Ollie's noses) to do what I have to do.
